Each team is given a list of Clues, a Polaroid camera, a Black Cab and Driver!
It is then your mission to scour the city for the answers to the crusade.
|
The black cab treasure hunt is a hilarious and interactive team development event designed to test any team’s planning, delegation, communication and time & team management skills, all in a hugely fun environment!
Teams are required to take part in the hunt based around central London in your very own black cab using your cabbies ‘knowledge’ to help you on your way. |

| The day will be split into: |
|
straight answer clues - each team has to use the driver to their best advantage to get all questions answered in the allocated time.
Treasure Hunt - You will be given a route around central London with a selection ofinformation-finding tasks and cryptic clues enabling you to find your way around. Will you get the right number from the red phone box, find the date on the smallest plaque or if your boss allows!) find a couple of pubs on the way around?
Picture - Guests will have to complete a selection of fun photographic challenges which will test their creativity and make them howl with laughter. Examples: Your team reenacting a game of Twister in Leicester Square; re-creating a scene from ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’; a picture of the whole team playing a musical instrument upside down and a picture with a local London police officer. The more creative and funny you are the more points you will get!
Scavenge - Have you ever thought how you would find a balloon animal if you needed one? (Don’t worry - us neither!) This is just one example of the obscure scavenger list items you will have to collect to earn more points. A two day old newspaper, a foreign coin and a witch’s hat... good luck! |

The London Black Cab Treasure Hunt is a challenge that encourages planning, time-keeping, problem solving and observation skills. The game is totally flexible and can begin anywhere within the capital. The hunt is initiated by a set of instructions and a series of cryptic clues for you to solve. Whichever theme you choose; historic sites, Sherlock Holmes, theatres or Monopoly you’re sure to discover the excitement of the city as you race around its busy network of streets trying to beat
previous time records.

Outside The Capital
You may think that you can only find black cabs in London, but plenty of cities throughout the UK have them, cities such as Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle and Edinburgh to name but a few, however, should you want your black cab event in a smaller town or abroad, then normal taxis will be acceptable. This event is a fantastic opportunity for you and your guests to fine tune your eyes, because if your eyes aren’t glued to the windows, then vital clues may pass your cab by. Teamwork, coordination and concentration are the aim of the game. |

Event Structure
3.00pm Teams gather in the hotel lobby for the briefing of
the event
3.15pm Event briefing begins
• Teams will be given their questions and event timings
• Shown how to use their cameras
• Allocated their taxi drivers
3.30pm Black Cab Crusade Begins Teams have the first hour of the event to complete their first round of questions
4.30pm All teams must meet at a designated bar/venue to
hand in their first round of answers and get their next list. Teams will have 45 minutes in the bar to refuel, any teams that are later than the designated time will be given penalty points
5.15pm Black Cab Crusade part 2 begins. The final hour is the most important all clues, even those that were not finished have to be completed in this time, before returning back to base.
6.15pm to 6.30pm
All teams must gather at the starting point with their cameras photos and answers sheets at the ready. Any teams that are late back will once again incur more penalty Points
6.45pm Points are calculated and award ceremony takes place. We will give out medals and a trophy for the winners and a wooden spoon for the losers!
7.00pm Delegates depart
